LEGOLAND Windsor is a child-oriented theme park located in Windsor, Berkshire, UK. With over 55 interactive rides, live shows, building workshops, driving schools and attractions, all set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland, LEGOLAND Windsor is a unique family theme park. Richco had the pleasure of working on multiple areas of the LEGOLAND park from dining areas to mini-Lego scenes and more!
Richco Surface Dressing is a decorative natural looking stone system, which is ideal for the use on walkways, ramps and steps. It provides an attractive, hard wearing, low maintenance surface using range of natural aggregates.
Dino Grip Non-slip Decking Strips are prefabricated fiberglass non-slip strips which are pre-drilled. These are simply fixed into place using stainless steel screws. The finished areas met with the client’s requirements by providing an anti-slip surface whilst maintaining the appearance of the wooden decking and creating a themed finish as requested.
Floor System:
Richco were advised that the paved seating and viewing area needed to a system to allow visitors to sit in comfort. The Richco application team carried out the surface preparation and then installed Richco Rubber Top in a black and red mix.
The finished area met with the client’s requirements by providing a comfortable seating and viewing area for visitors and riders of the Space Tower.
Floor Systems:
The Richco application team carried out surface preparation to the wooden decking using Dino Grip wood deck cleaner as well as applying a suitable primer. Once the floor had been fully prepared and primed, the Richco application team then applied Richco Wood Deck in Blue as well as Dino Grip Anti Slip Stair Nosings in Yellow.
Richco Wood Deck is a decorative anti slip decking system specifically designed for application onto wooden decking surfaces. It provides an attractive, hard wearing and anti-slip surface. Dino Grip Stair Nosings offer an anti-slip solution for any step edge. They can be fitted to almost any step without creating a trip hazard and providing an anti-slip surface. The finished decking met with the client’s requirements by providing an anti-slip surface and contrasting colored nosing to the stair edges.
Flooring systems:
The Richco application team carried out preparation to the newly refurbished area by removing the old surfaces, re-keying the surface and applying a suitable primer. Once the area had been fully prepared and primed, the Richco application team then applied Richco Resin Bound and Richco Rubber Crumb in different areas to re-create the look of various surfaces within Mini land.
Floor Systems:
The Richco application team carried out the surface preparation and then install Richco Imprinted Quartz system to the entrance and Richco Wood Deck in red to the decking areas.
The finished area met with the client’s requirements by providing a themed entrance area to the Pirates Training Camp and an anti-slip colorful solution for the wooden decking.

Richco Flake Flooring is a decorative solvent free epoxy floor coating that is available in a range of base colors with a choice of flake colors, to give a contrasting, decorative, anti-slip finish. Richco Flake Flooring offers an excellent decorative anti-slip finish with the advantage of high wear and chemical resistant properties.
The finished flooring met with the client’s requirements by providing an anti slip and hardwearing surface whilst providing a decorative finish as requested.
Flooring System:
Richco were advised that the metal surface needed an anti-slip coating applied as it was slippery, especially when wet. The Richco application team carried out preparation to the metal surface and then installed Richco Anti-Slip Floor Coating in red with a black line to create the spider’s web.
The finished surface met with the client’s requirements by providing an anti-slip surface even during the wet weather. The finished surface also provides light stable properties and is in keeping with the theme of the ride.
Floor Systems:
The project measured approximately 1500 square metres which was being built over two levels. The design of the new wet pour system consisted of seven different colours which had animal feet incorporated within the design in the lower Splash Zoo area. Due to the different restraints onsite – Richco had to work around very tight time schedules to have it completed on-time – ready for the installation of the play equipment. Richco met their targets on this particular project and succeeded in the installation of the wet pour system (to an area measuring approximately 1500 square metres) over a period of just 14 days.
The finished project met with the clients’ requirements by providing a high standard of workmanship and ensuring that the project was completed within the tight deadlines.
